Avian Worm Count
We test faecal samples for parasites and coccidia oocysts for pet owners, small pet flocks of chickens and ducks, to large breeders and game bird breeders.
Faeces are tested to check for worm egg counts (WEC) and coccidia oocysts. The results will help you to make informed decision on:
- Only treat your birds when necessary.
- Use a targeted treatment.
- Monitor the effectiveness of your worm control programme.
- Slow the rate of anthelmintic resistance (AR).
The aim of effective worm control is to stop worms completing their lifecycle and prevent future contamination.
